Autopsy awaits victim of alleged room fight with girl suspect

Crime Officer Alieu Saffias at the Kissy Mess Mess Police station has told Politico that the Police have requested for an autopsy on one Musa B. Tarawallie who according to a video that went viral on social media was alleged to have attempted to rape a lady when he met his death.

EWRC vets 120 water companies

The Director General of the Electricity and Water Regulatory Commission Dr. Emmanuel Mannah has told journalists during the weekly press briefing at the Ministry of Information and Communications on the 14th October 2021 that the commission has vetted 120 sachet water producing  companies, though he however noted that there are still others operating without scrutiny.

SLAJ and EU to clean up Lumley-Aberdeen Beach

This year’s annual beach clean-up event will take place on Saturday 16th October, 2021 at the Lumley-Aberdeen Beach in Freetown.

SLUDI threatens protest over subvention delay

The President of the Sierra Leone Union on Disability Issues, Santigie Kargbo has expressed dissatisfaction over delay in the allocation of subventions to schools with special needs children, noting that their members will take to the streets in protest if there’s continued delay in the allocation.

The warning came despite the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary School Education (MBSSE), providing the third and fourth quarter subventions for 2021.

OSD indicted for killing military officer

Justice Musu Damba Kamara has sentenced one Mohamed Kanu, an officer attached to the Operational Support Division (OSD) of the Sierra Leone Police to 15 years imprisonment over the 15th March 2015 killing of  a soldier, Salifu Turay at Gloucester Village in the Western Area Rural District.
