Crime Officer Alieu Saffias at the Kissy Mess Mess Police station has told Politico that the Police have requested for an autopsy on one Musa B. Tarawallie who according to a video that went viral on social media was alleged to have attempted to rape a lady when he met his death.
The lady whose age is yet to be determine could be seen crying whilst explaining of a fatal fight that she said ensued after she alleged the man attempted to forcefully have sex with her in his room despite her protestation that she was experiencing her menstruation.
Narrating the incident, the she said the man tried to forcefully get intimate with her that led to a struggle between the two, during which she claimed she pushed him and put a cloth on his face. She added that before she could reach for the door, the man pushed her back on the bed and they engaged in another round of fighting. She noted that there was someone outside who had asked her to open the door, but she responded saying she could not open the door because she has been held by the man. But according to Police, the decease is the husband of the alleged victim and that he was drunk when he wanted to have sex with his wife who refused.
The lady claimed in the video that she put a cloth and rope around his neck, and ran away.
In the video, the lady showed some marks on her breast and back that she claimed were from bites by the man. She also stated that she did not know that the man had died. The case is currently under Police investigations with officer Saffias saying they would first have to determine the cause of death after the autopsy and do not expect that to happen until by the end of the week. The case attracted a lot of public debate about sexual and gender based violence.
