Kailahun to get electricity after 40yrs

As part of the energy reformation drive,  the Deputy Minister of Energy, Dr.Eldred Taylor, has symbolically erected electricity poles that would mark the physical commencement of the Kailahun Township Electrification Project after 40 years of lack of electricity in the district .

Epileptic drowns in Sierra Leone's River Sewa

19-year-old Kadiatu Ali has reportedly drowned in the River Sewa in the early hours of Thursday 13th May 2021 after she went to wash clothes on the banks of the river.

 Kadiatu was said to be pregnant and has a history of epilepsy from which she normally experienced seizures.
