A 28-year-old woman who went for seven years with forceps (scissors-like instrument) left in her abdomen after a caesarean surgery is to undergo another operation to have them removed.
The discovery was made at the Kambia Government hospital. The woman Zainab Kamara has since the surgery been having difficulties moving her right leg and has endured persistent bleeding which has brought her discomfort and stigmatization among her peers.

Adama Sillah, a third year law student at Fourah Bay College has been elected Students Union (SU) President making her the first female to hold that position in the institution’s 194 year history. She beat the other five contenders in the rerun election that was held on Friday 11 June 2021, her closest challenger being another female law student Fatmata Binta-Jalloh.
The first polling on Wednesday 2nd June 2021 was nullified after widespread violence within the campus and allegations of electoral fraud.

Saudi Arabia has in a press statement announced restriction of the registration for the 2021 pilgrimage to only citizens and residents of the Kingdom due to the coronavirus pandemic that continues to ravage the world.
This latest announcement according to report from Sierra Leone’s Information attaché in Saudi Arabia, Abubakarr Bah, supersedes the previous Hajj release that was issued in early May this year.
