Incest case was a plot – says accused's daughter

A university student and defence witness, Mariama Edwina Conteh has told Justice Momoh-Jah Stevens that the incest matter between her father and her younger sister was a plot hatched by the victim and her biological mother.

Conteh, daughter of the father and according to court records a sister to the alleged victim was testifying as the second defence witness on Wednesday 3rd November this year in the ongoing incest matter at the Sexual Offences Model Court in Freetown.

No fuel shortage over the festive season

Sierra Leone gets data on favorable mineral locations

The Geophysicist at the National Mineral Agency (NMA) Ahmed Swaray says there is available data that identifies favorable sites that are rich in minerals. Speaking during a workshop held on the 4th November 2021, the Geophysicist explained that the nationwide Airborne Geophysical Survey revealed some areas that are considered to be sites that are more favorable for mining than other and unraveled the country’s mineral deposits.

UAE and Sierra Leone sign labour agreement

The Governments of the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Sierra Leone have yesterday, 2nd November 2021  signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, that will allow close labour cooperation between the two countries.
