Member States of the Mano River Union (MRU) have in a Joint Communique signed, agreed to Maintain Diplomatic Peace, Security and Democracy in the Sub-region and resolved to engage leaders of the National Committee for Reconciliation and Development in Guinea as well as ECOWAS in order to develop a framework for the return to constitutional rule. 

The resolution was reached at a two-day Diplomatic Peace and Security Conference in Liberia held on the 22-23^rd of November 2021.

The Judiciary of Sierra Leone has released Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray’s co-accused, Marion Arouni after meeting the required bail conditions on Wednesday 24^th November this year.

Arouni was charged together with former Alliance Democratic Party (ADP) 2018 election’s Presidential Candidate, Mansaray on allegations of sexual penetration with a minor last year.

Arouni was brought before the Court to answer to 2 Counts of Conspiracy and Aiding and Abetting.

In a bid to promote good governance through People Power Approaches FoRUT continues to support Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to Effectively Mobilize the People to Promote Good Governance in Sierra Leone.  

20 CSOs in the North-Western District of Karene were on the 23^rd and 24^th of November this year trained on People Power Approaches, and also on the National Anti-Corruption Instruments including the Anti-Corruption Act of 2008 Amended in 2019 and the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.

Former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Sanah Marrah has sought the leave of the Court of Appeal to present fresh evidence in order to exonerate him from the incriminating findings of the Commissions of Inquiry (COI).

Roland Wright, the lawyer who represented Marah on Wednesday 24^th November this year, said he filed a notice of motion on the 16^th November 2021 based on the orders of the indictment.
