Months after we broke the story about the 28-year-old partially disabled woman who had for the past seven years been partially paralyzed after doctors allegedly left forceps in her abdomen following a cesarean section, we can now authoritatively report that she is still yet to undergo a procedure to remove the instrument from her body.
Six years imprisonment for rapist in Sierra Leone

Justice Musu Damba Kamara has sentenced one Issa Kamara to 6 years imprisonment after being convicted for sexually penetrating a 7-year-old girl in Freetown.
Kamara, 20, made his final appearance in court on Monday 16th August 2021 at the High Court in Freetown on a charge of sexual penetration of a child contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act No. 12 of 2012.
Police arrest Forest Guard with loaded gun

The Police have arrested one Charles Baguay, a National Protected Area Authority (NPAA) guard, with a loaded pistol in Bo, Southern Sierra Leone.
The guard was intercepted on Monday 23rd August 2021 by police deployed along the Fenton and Mahei Boima Road axis where they had been manning a checkpoint. The Police said that the man was in possession of a ‘fully loaded’ NP Makarov Pistol at around 2 in the morning –the time of his arrest. He was also said to have been dressed in military camouflage.

The Vice President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has called on all petroleum companies to work together in order to ensure stability in fuel supply and competitive price for consumers. The Vice President who was visiting the facility of a new oil company, All Petroleum Products (APP) at Kissy, on Tuesday 24 August 2021, spoke of having heard about a misunderstanding between APP and National Petroleum (NP).
