ECSL proves fake ID in court

A staff of Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL), Vagamoh Sesay has used a laptop computer in court to assert claims that the  voter registration card an accused, Musa Sesay carried, was fake. The seven digits ID number when inserted into the commission’s portal system showed that the unique ID number belongs to Fanta Fullah. with a female photo and different information.

3 remanded for murder

Three men accused of murder have been remanded in custody by Principal Magistrate Mark Ngegba in Freetown. Mohamed Samura, 32 Mohamed Lamin Dumbuya, 30, and Hardy Momodu Evelyn Jabbie, 30 are accused of killing one Samuel Abubakarr Kargbo on 27th February 2023.

Every prisoner has human rights

Justice Komba Kamanda of Sexual Offences Court in Freetown has said that all prisoners have human rights. He was speaking after an accused sexual penetrator, 18 year- old Zakaria Jalloh of Banga Farm in Waterloo, said that his colleague prisoners mercilessly beat him up at the Pademba Road maximum correctional centre in Freetown.

Justice Kamanda pointed this out during Zakaria's trial at court No.7 of the main law court building in Freetown on Tuesday 28 March 2023.

Alleged fraudster arrested in Kenema

Police attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Kenema division are currently investigating Musa Jayah Kamara for alleged fraud and Musa Sannoh, Mohamed Allie Kallon in a matter of alleged robbery.

Kamara according to the police was allegedly collecting money from traders in Kenema as registration fee for the National Commission for Social Action’s (NACSA) emergency cash transfer.

Skye Bank murder case goes to Sierra Leone's High Court

Magistrate Mark Ngegba of the Pademba Road Court No.1 has dismissed a no case submission made by lawyers for former Skye Bank Manager, Ikubolaje Nicol and ordered that he stands trial for the alleged murder of Sinnah Kargbo, a former staff of the same bank.
