200 pupils along the Peninsula communities in the Western Area have benefitted from school items distributed by a local Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Reachout Salone. The items included bags, school writing materials, uniforms and shoes.

US ambassador hands over J&J Covid19 vaccines to Sierra Leone

As part of the American government’s contribution to the fight against the coronavirus disease in Sierra Leone, the new United States Ambassador to Sierra Leone, David Reimer has on Wednesday 8th  September 2021 handed over to the government of Sierra Leone 151,200 (one hundred and fifty-one thousand, two hundred) jabs of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

NCRA to introduced securitized ID card

The Director General of the National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA) Mohamed Massaqoui says the authority with support from partners will introduce the use of online securitized legal identity documents next week.  He told the weekly government news conference in Freetown on Thursday 9 September 2021 that the measure is aimed at mitigating identity fraud in the country.

Journalists trained on Right to Food
