Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba Road Court No. 1 has transferred to the High Court of Sierra Leone a matter relating to the death of a nine-year-old boy who was allegedly murdered at a nearby stream in Bonthe district.
Two men Lansana Conteh and Tawakatu Conteh were charged over the murder of Magaya Conteh.
The alleged crime reportedly happened on Tuesday 16th November 2021 at Blama village in the Yumbeku chiefdom in Bonthe district.

Audit Sierra Leone’s Performance Report on Public Debt Management published by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) has revealed that the measures put in place to manage the public debt have not been effective.
The report pointed out that the principle of accountability, transparency, and participation is lacking.

President Julius Maada Bio has in an address to the nation described the violent protests of Wednesday, August 10 as a well-planned and financed insurrection that was executed with shocking brutality.

Business people whose stalls were demolished along the busy Abacha and ECOWAS streets have cried for help from the government and other authorities concerned, saying that the action against them was unfair and unexpected.
The news of the demolition came in the morning hours of Friday 12th August 2022 after the widespread protests that occurred on the 10th of August this year in some parts of the country and mostly the eastern parts of the capital Freetown.
