A 35-year-old accused, Hawa Moinina of 9 Race Course Road in Freetown has appeared before a Freetown Magistrate Court for illegal possession of 27 wraps of a harmful drug known as Kush.
The accused appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura at Ross Road Court No.1 on Monday 21st August 2023.

A 58-year-old man has admitted killing one Isha Saidu Hughes, his kid sister before Magistrate Sahr Kekura at Ross Road on Tuesday 22nd August 2023.
Sulaiman Conteh asked for forgiveness from his family members saying that what he did was wrong also pleaded for mercy from the magistrate, noting that the allegations levied against him are true but that he only used a hammer and a kitchen knife to commit the murder contrary to the police statement that he also used a machete.

Abubakar Mansaray, a resident of a place called Small Country at Mabureh community in the general area of Waterloo has appeared before a Magistrate in Freetown for allegedly killing one Aminata Kamara.
The 49-year-old accused, identified as a beggar, appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura at Ross Road Monday 21st August 2023, accused of committing the offence on December 24 2002 in the same community.
Mansaray, a single-leg amputee, is not represented by a lawyer.

Physician Len Gordon-Harris of Cancer UK Salone Charity says recorded cancer deaths in Sierra Leone as per the GLOBOCAN’s data for 2020 amounted 3,389. Of that number 2,000 were women, whilst 1,389 were men.
Dr. Gordon-Harris gave the figures at a press conference in Freetown held by the Masonic District Lodge of Sierra Leone and the Gambia during receipt of donation towards Prostate Cancer, on 16 August.
