Nearly three months since his re-election Sierra Leone president, Ernest Bai Koroma has announced the rest of his cabinet. Six weeks after he had announced a partial one. All five new ministers with portfolio are from the north of the country. The ministry of youth and sport has been separated. The current holder, Paul Kamara becomes Minister of Sports while a second-time Member of Parliament, Alimamy Kamara becomes the Minister of Youth. Alimamy is also the Youth Leader of the ruling All People’s Congress party and was student activist at Fourah Bay College where he was made Minister of Food and Canteen in 1995/96. Newly elected Member of Parliament Dr. Matthew Teambo becomes Minister of Labour & Social Security. Former Transport Minister Alhaji Kemoh Sesay becomes Minister of Political & Public Affairs. He was sacked following the seizure at the Freetown airport of a planeload of cocaine in 2009 because the police wanted to investigate him. Police later said they did not find anything incriminating against him. He was later appointed Adviser to the president. Former Chairman of the Koinadugu District Council, who was denied a ruling party symbol to run for re-election, Peter Bayuku Konte, becomes Minister of Tourism and Culture. Minister of State in the Office of the Vice President is Harriet Turay. Like the vice president she hails from Kono. She is former president of the gender parity group 50/50.
