Members of Amputees and War Wounded Association want government intervention, to address what they say is the appalling condition of members across the country. 

Speaking in a media interview, the Vice President of Amputees and War Wounded Association, Mohamed Bah explained that the amputees mostly victims of the past civil conflict, face daily challenges. He said successive governments have neglected them.

Whilst debating the Bill entitled the Appropriation Act 2024, All People’s Congress Member of Parliament- Western Area, Osman A. Timbo  has said that the budget is not enough to undertake development projects and run the affairs of the state.

The MP said this shows the poor state of the country noting that the total amount of money allocated for running the state in 2024 is NLe 2.4 billion, which when converted to the US dollar is $1 Billion.

Fifty new buses are now in Sierra Leone to be managed by Metro Transport Company (MTC) that will provide a cashless payment system, the Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Transport, Mahmoud Kamara told Politico, Thursday 23^rd November 2023.

Kamara was speaking to confirm a press release that stated that the Transport Ministry has delivered fifty new buses as part of the Sierra Leone Integrated and Resilient Urban Mobility Project (SLIRUMP).

A Report published by the Media Reform Coordinating Group (MRCG) has recommended for Media houses to address management issues through training and to also facilitate the development and training of governance structures of media houses especially for community radio stations.

Fifth Prosecution Witness, a health Nurse, has during a cross examination in an on-going preliminary investigation (PI) over the killing of  Ibrahim Jagitay has  insisted that  the accused Mohamed Jagitay met him for treatment.

The witness said this when he was responding to questions from defence Lawyer, L. Rashid at the Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on Thursday 23^rd November 2023, who asked the witness if he would be surprised to know that the accused was not with him that day, but that he (accused) was somewhere else.
