The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has lost its appeal against the decision by the AFCON Organizing Committee to have Leone Stars match against Benin postponed to the international window in June.

COI Appeals: Two in the net, two others freed

Four people who were named in the Commissions of Inquiry (COI) and had adverse recommendations made against them have had appeal rulings made on their cases, with two exonerated whilst the other two have been found wanting.

Appeal Court Judges, Adrian Fisher, Ansumana Ivan Sesay and Momoh Jah Stevens presided over appeals filed by former Lands Minister Alhaji Musa Tarawally, former Secretary Vice President’s Office Baba Brima Fortune and two former civil servants.

Road Safety Officer convicted

A   Freetown high court presided over by Justice Nicholas Browne-Marke  has on 26th April 2021, convicted one Bobor Deen Bangura, former Traffic Warden of the Sierra Leone Roads Safety Authority and was ordered to pay a fine of Le 10,000,000 (Ten million Leones)

Bangura was convicted on two counts of Obstruction of Justice, contrary to Section 127(1) (a) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 12 of 2008.
