Ambassador to Russia engages Sierra Leonean Students

Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Mohamed Yongawo, has engaged cross section of Sierra Leonean students who were given Russian Scholarships before COVID-19 disruption of international travels in 2020.

61 students were awarded scholarships to pursue different courses at various universities in Russia.

Six years imprisonment for rapist in Sierra Leone

Justice Musu Damba Kamara has sentenced one Issa Kamara to 6 years imprisonment after being convicted for sexually penetrating a 7-year-old girl in Freetown.

Kamara, 20, made his final appearance in court on Monday 16th August 2021 at the High Court in Freetown on a charge of sexual penetration of a child contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act No. 12 of 2012.
