NCP to generate over Le 160 billion

 The National Commission for Privatisation (NCP) Chairman Dr. Prince Harding has revealed plans by the institution to generate over 160 billion Leones in the coming year.

Speaking at the ongoing 2021/2022 budget hearing at the Ministry of Finance in Freetown, the chairman said the NCP generated just over 144 billion Leones in the last six months, the first ever to be recorded in the country’s history. 

SLRSA boss wants 10% retention of revenue generated

The Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) Ibrahim Sannoh has called on government to allow them retain 10% of their revenues generated. 

Speaking during his budget presentation at the Ministry of Finance in Freetown, the Executive Director said 10% of the revenue they generate is sent to Road Maintenance Fund Administration (RMFA), but however said much safety interventions have not been seen. He therefore called on government for that 10% to be retained instead for their safety operations. 

Albert Academy on restructuring drive

As Albert Academy commemorates its 117 anniversary, current pupils of the school have called on the school authorities to modernize learning by bringing in more computers and equipping the science lab to enable them do practical in school.

The pupils made this call at the press briefing organized by the school’s anniversary committee on Friday 1st October this year to update the public on the activities for the anniversary.

Calls for specialized mining university in Sierra Leone
