One Mohamed Sesay alias Kallon, 33, was said to have confessed to the Police that he murdered one Alie Sesay on the 11^th August last year at Mountain Cut, according to Inspector Mohamed Kargbo of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters in Freetown.

This evidence was revealed at the High Court in Freetown on Tuesday 5^th October this year when Inspector Kargbo was testifying as the fourth prosecution witness in the murder matter involving Kallon as the accused.

A civil society activist, Tamba Deen from Development Watch organisation has recommended that government capacitates and empower the Government Printing Department (GPD) with the needed logistics in order to avoid printing the country’s sensitive documents outside Sierra Leone. State Pathologist, Dr. Simeon Owizz Koroma has testified at the High Court in Freetown that Sholade Jones, 26, was killed with a blunt object that resembled a baseball bat or a big stick.

Dr. Koroma was testifying against Abilola Lionel Jones and Gifty Jones who were arraigned in court on one and two count charges. Both accused who were brother and sister to the deceased were charged with conspiracy to commit a murder and murder contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.

Police in Falaba district have arrested four people over the death of 41-year-old Ibrahim Jagitay in Kombili Town in Morifindugu Chiefdom, Falaba district after he was beaten up by the family of his spouse.

Jagitay, according to sources, had an encounter with his wife’s family when he went to see his children on Tuesday 28^th September this year. The children had been staying with their mother following a misunderstanding between the separated parents.
