First Lady supports fund raising drive

Sierra Leone’s First Lady Madam Fatima Bio has supported a fund- raising drive by the Pessima Foundation. The Fund raising dance and dinner held on the 22nd December 2021, according to the organizers was to help needy communities in Sierra Leone.   

Speaking at the event, founder of the foundation Desmond Pessima, said it was launched in Sierra Leone in December last year by the Anti-Corruption Commissioner Francis Ben Keifela.

TSC Trains Teachers on Continues Assessment Scores

Sierra Leone graft agency warns finance officers in the wake of damning audit report

Following the release of the 2020 Audit report, the Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Francis Ben Kaifala has called on Finance Officials of several public institutions mentioned in the audit report for unaccounted funds to produce supporting documents and explanation to the commission by Friday the 24th December 2021 or be detained.

AC Milan Foundation to open in Sierra Leone

The AC Milan Foundation is set to open a chapter in Sierra Leone.

The European football giant made this revelation to Sierra Leonean midfielder and former Milan player, Rodney Strasser during the celebration of the club’s 122 years of existence.

The 7-time European Champions also made a donation of football items to underprivileged children in Sierra Leone through the Rodney Strasser Foundation and promised to do more.

Security sector contractors face new measures

The Chief Executive Director for the National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA) Ibrahim Brima Swarray has stated that suppliers for the security sectors are now required to be capacitated enough to supply at least six months at a go. Swarray during a press conference on the 20th of December 2021 said that suppliers that are unable to meet such a requirement, will not be awarded the contract.
