Commemorating Europe Day, EU delegation to interact with Project beneficiaries

 

As the European Union Delegation in Sierra Leone Commemorate Europe Day on the 9th of May this year, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development officially launches the EU Boss tour across Sierra Leone.

The tour according to the officials will see a delegation of both the European Union and the government of Sierra Leone officials visit project sites and interact with beneficiaries to know the impact of the project on the lives of the people and the country as a whole.

BHI trains biomedical engineers and medical oxygen operators

Build Health International a non-profitable organization, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, has provided a five-day training programme for Sierra Leonean biomedical engineers and medical oxygen operators on oxygen plants operations and maintenance.

The training which took place at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown on 10th of May this year brought biomedical engineers and oxygen professionals from major hospitals in all regions.

 The head of Sierra Leone’s Anti-corruption commission told the Commonwealth Regional Conferences and Annual General Meeting of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Accra that the Non-Prosecution Policy of his agency is a set of guidelines that  aid prosecutors in deciding whether a particular matter should be prosecuted or not.

IGR to track Bio’s 103 campaign promises

The Institute for Governance Reforms (IGR) through its citizens online tracker on government performance named the Biometer is set to track 103 campaign promises made by President Julius Maada Bio during the 2023 multi-tier elections in the country, ranging from the 50,000 jobs for young people and the like.The tracker is set to cover the period from 2024 to 2028.
