Old Fourah Bay College Building to be rehabilitated

The Principal Project Director, World Monument Fund (WMF), Stephen

Battle, has in a consultative meeting with stakeholders in Freetown said

the institution will be rehabilitating the Fourah Bay College Old

Building situated in Cline town, Freetown.

He said the construction process was set to Commence within the next nine months.

The consultative meeting with the stakeholders that include community members from Cline Town is geared towards making suggestions on how the rehabilitation should look like.

4 arraigned for robbery

Four accused persons - Amadu Bello Mohamed Tholley, Augustine Korfuma alias “Councilor”, Boibe Gibnia Conteh, and Daniel Samura alias “One Man Geng” - are before the court to answer to charges of conspiracy, robbery with aggravation, assault, carrying offensive weapons without lawful authority contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.

Man remanded for housebreaking, larceny

Magistrate Isata Sellu-Tucker of the Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown has remanded Foday Koroma in custody, for allegedly breaking into the house of Vitalis Ubawuchi and stealing a bag containing six million Leones (6,000,000) and a mobile phone valued one million five hundred thousand  Leones (1,500,000), all equivalent the old Leone currency. 

Koroma was charged with Housebreaking and Larceny.

Defense calls for mental evaluation of murder suspect

Principal Magistrate, Mark Ngegba of the Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown has instructed the Prosecution in the ongoing trial of  Kassim Watfa over the alleged murder of Sergeant Mahmoud Barrie, a soldier of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), to do a follow up at the psychiatric hospital and the Correctional Centre about Watffa’s mental state, by Monday 29th August 2022.

Adams made this call on the 18th of August 2022 during an engagement between CSOs and President Julius Maada Bio at State House on the August 10 insurrection.
