Training on school feeding assessment ends in Makeni

Two-day training for school feeding assessment personnel for the Northern Region has over the weekend ended at the Old City Council Hall in Makeni.

In an interview with Politico, the Director of the School Feeding Programme in the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE), Sengbe Rogers Koker highlighted the importance of the school assessment on the feeding programme.

BSL commits to maintaining pricing stability

The Deputy Governor Bank of Sierra Leone Sheikh Yayah Sesay says the bank is committed to ensuring price and financial stability in the country.

GT Bank sacked me wrongfully – staff testifies in court

The former Head of the Commercial Division at Guarantee Trust Bank (GT Bank), Jacob Paul Koroma, has testified before Justice Komba Kamanda that the bank wrongfully sacked him without following due process.

Koroma, who wants the bank to restore him to his position, pay all his salaries, benefits including leave and other allowances, and compensation for reputational damages, made this testimony at the court No.10 of the High Court of Sierra Leone on Tuesday 9th May 2023.

163,894 attempt 2023 NPSE

A total of 163,894 (one hundred and sixty-three thousand, eight hundred and ninety four) primary school pupils on Saturday 6th May 2023 sat the National Primary School Examination (NPSE), which qualifies them to transition from primary school to Junior Secondary School (JSS) level, surpassing last year’s  162,068 (one hundred and sixty-two thousand and sixty-eight).
