As Police in Kabala continue to investigate the death of Iyeba Sanda Barrie whose decomposed body was found by a stream on the evening of Friday 26h January this year, the Family of the deceased calls for justice to be served.
Speaking to Politico, the Local Unit Commander of the Kabala Police Division said the main suspect Almamy Kamara, the Bike rider, and two others are in police custody helping with investigations concerning her death.
Speaking to Politico, the Elder brother of the deceased Chernor Maju Barrie said that the lady went missing on Wednesday 24th January after she went out on a motorbike and didn’t return home. He said a report was then made to the police about her disappearance before her body was found by the stream at Kamaseh.
“From the photos, my little sister was brutally murdered in cold blood and dumped in a stream at Kamaseh and by the visible injuries and targeted parts of her body, one will see the intention of the perpetrator(s) to kill and worst of all conceal her death,” said another relative Saikujohn Barrie whilst calling for justice and speedy investigation of the death of his sister.
“As the family goes through this excruciating pain and horror, I am demanding justice for my little sister whose life was unlawfully and brutally taken away,” he said.
The family and police are currently waiting for the autopsy results for further decision.
