Kenema Council engages heads of radio stations in the city

The Kenema City Council has signed a memorandum of understanding with three radio stations in Kenema.

Addressing the managers of the three stations, the Chief Administrator of Kenema City Council Joseph Gando disclosed that since he assumed office seven months ago he has  discovered big gaps between the Council and the media in Kenema  and as administration  he wants to bridge that vacuum fully aware that the “council wouldn’t succeed without the cooperation of the media’’.

The Ebola vaccine is safe – assure Sierra Leone health officials

Officials of the Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Health and Sanitation and the World Health Organization (WHO) have assured of the efficacy and safety of the recently received Ebola Virus Disease vaccine.

The vaccine received by health officials last weekend at the Freetown International Airport from the Johnson and Johnson pharmaceutical is said to prevent EVD infections among people.

MOHS Gets medical supports from IsBD

The Ministry of Health and Sanitation through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation has on Monday 12th April 2021 received medical equipment from the Islamic Development Bank through the King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Program (KAAP).

The equipment according to officials is to help boost the fight against the coronavirus disease and as well serve other medical services in Sierra Leone beyond COVID.

Justice Adrian J. Fisher of the High Court in Freetown has ruled that the recent injunction he slammed on all political activities within the main opposition All Peoples Congress Party (APC) will continue “until otherwise determined by the court.”

CAS ruling shames Sierra Leone FA

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has overturned the Confederation of African Football (CAF) governance commission’s decision not to allow Mamadou Antonio Souare, president of the Football Federation of Guinea to run for a position in the Confederation’s Executive Committee because of his alleged links to a betting company in his country.

The court declared Souare eligible to contest and ordered CAF to pay his legal fees.
