196 schools failed NPSE

Analysis of the results of the just released National Primary School Examination, (NPSE) by the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education has revealed that a total of 196 schools across the country got a zero percent pass rate in the exam out of a total of 4,296 (four thousand two hundred and ninety-six) schools with 25 from neighbouring Guinea.

Police discover stolen FQE materials

Assistant Inspector General of Police Amadu Mannah has told journalists at a press conference in Freetown that a vehicle with registration number AOJ 544 headed for Conakry, Guinea was intercepted at Mile 38 with piles of various school materials.  He said the vehicle which was driven by Ishmael Kamara was heading to Conakry.

Police undergo trainers’ course

As a way to revamp the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), the establishment’s Peace Keeping and Law Enforcement Academy has conducted a three-day training of trainers’ course.

The training was designed, tailored and customized to match with the SLP’s needs and international expectations. The training dealt with relevant sectors such as service delivery, ethics, corruption, and discipline and hostility reduction.
