Home teacher remanded for “sexual penetration”

Justice Manuela Harding has remanded in prison David Kamara alias ‘Mandela’ on allegations that he sexually penetrated a 15-year-old school girl he was supposed to provide with private lessons.

Kamara was arraigned at the Sexual Offences Model Court on the 2nd December this year.

The State Prosecutor, Oladipo Robin-Mason Jr. led in the alleged victim as first prosecution witness.

54 arrested in Bonthe over “gang rape”

Police in Bo are investigating 53 males and one female over the alleged gang rape of a 17-year-old girl who was seen in a video that went viral on social media lying by the road side along the Gumasaa and Nyandehun highway in the Yawbeko Chiefdom, Bonthe District with a long metal inserted into her private part, as she gasped for breath.

24-year-old gets 20 years for wounding

Justice Ivan Sesay has sentenced 24-year-old Edwin George Williams Kona to 20 years imprisonment for wounding with intent.

Kona made his last appearance in court at the just concluded November call over after the State had alleged Kona wounded with intent Anthony Brown.

According to the medical report, Brown was stabbed three times with a sharp object. The report states that Brown suffered from a 4cm stab wound that required eight stitches in one of the stabbings.

NASSIT challenged by Compliance
