More nabbed as others released over exams malpractice

 Assistant Public Relations Officer at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Sylvanus Blake said the eleven candidates that were caught in the act of malpractice on the 2 nd June2022, have been released on bail.

Blake told Politico that the candidates along with the proprietor of the school were released after meeting their bail requirements. However, he noted that the investigation is ongoing, and that if evidence is found, they will be charged to court.

20-year-old "rape" to death

Police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old youth Grace Lamboi whose body was found at Experimental School, Njala Mokonde, in the Moyamba district.

Speaking to Politico, Head of Police media and Public Relations Officer for the Southern Region, ASP Mohamed Bobson Senu said the remains of the lady were discovered around the school by a teacher at the school.

ASP Senu said the matter was reported at the Njala Mokonde police post and later transferred to the Taiama police .

APC denies Le 500 million candidacy fee

The interim Secretary General of the leadership Committee of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party says his committee has nothing to do with a recent post on social media that stated an upfront non-refundable payment of 500 million Leones for members aspiring for the party’s presidential ticket.

Bumneh Bangura told Politico that “at no time did a directive of that nature come from the 21-member committee”, noting that “social media these days is inundated with all sorts of posts”.
