The long-awaited energy supply from the inter-connection line of the West Africa Power Pool Project finally reached Sierra Leone’s energy thirst capital, Freetown last week.

 This according to the Engineer in charge was after synchronizing both the Bumbuna and the Transco-CLSG substations located in Bumbuna town, thereby now providing energy supply directly to Freetown from the Transco-CLSG substation.

The Head of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Francis Ben Kaifala says graft is an evil that demands a collective fight. He made this statement during a public lecture in Kenema while calling on all to join the fight.

The Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has said that the government will be constructing another new set of 100 classrooms for both junior and senior secondary schools across Sierra Leone.

Dr. Sengeh made the disclosure yesterday 14^th July 2022 at the weekly press briefing hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communications, stating that this is in addition to the new 100 classrooms for schools they partnered to build, including hostels in Port Loko and Kenema.
