The Kenema District Council with support from Fiscal Decentralization Division under the Ministry of Finance has led discussions on the Local Council’s bilateral budget for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023.
They also proposed development plans for the 2023 financial year during the deliberations at the Council Hall, Nyandeyama Road in Kenema.

The cross-examination of Sierra Leone’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation, Dr. Alie Kabba, will continue today following his testimony in the ongoing trial between the State versus Saidu Nallo and four others.
The five are charged with various counts relating to the alleged misappropriation of funds for the reconstruction or renovation of the Sierra Leone Chancery Building in New York, United States of America, between 2011 and 2019.

Magistrate Isata Sellu-Tucker of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown has sentenced Ibrahim Kargbo and Mariatu Kamara to 24 months imprisonment and Fatmata Samura to 27 months and fined them the sum of NLe 5,000,000 (five million Leones) after they were found guilty of committing various public order offences ranging from Riotous Conduct, Unlawful Procession to Insulting Conduct during the anti-government protests in Sierra Leone on 10th August 2022.

The Council of Legal Education- Sierra Leone Law School that certifies Call to the country’s Bar has published its final year students’ examination result for 2022, with 101 passes.
According to a list published by the school on Tuesday 25th October, 2022, a total of 269 students attempted the exams in which 48 failed, 107 got references and 13 had their results withheld.
The Law School is the only educational institution that is charged with the responsibility of certifying students to practice law as a profession.
