10 alleged opposition supporters in police net for riotous conduct

Police Media 2 for the Southern Region Alhaji Osman Mansaray has told Politico that ten people alleged to be supporters of the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) Party are in police custody in the Bo for riotous conduct and other offences.

He said they are being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for alleged riotous conduct and wounding of six persons in Foindu, Perri Chiefdom in Pujehun district.   

IGR presents citizens’ manifesto to APC

Rainstorms kill 15 in Sierra Leone

The death toll was contained in a press release by the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) dated 10th May 2023.

ECOWAS to aid Sierra Leone tackle food insecurity

President of the ECOWAS Commission Omar Alieu Touray has assured of his organization’s support to help Sierra Leone and six other countries that are most affected by food insecurity.

Touray made this commitment on behalf of ECOWAS on the 10th of May 2023 at ECOWAS parliament’s first ordinary session 2023. He explained that they will mobilize resources to finance projects to help support Sierra Leone.
