120 people from across Sierra Leone have completed training on Peace Mediation that was organized by the Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion (ICPNC) in partnership with Ghana based Women, Peace and Security Institute (WPSI) of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC).
The peace mediators- 64 men and 56 women were taught mediation and reconciliation skills.

Four innovators from Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda have been selected to compete for a whooping £25,000 (twenty five thousand pounds) Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation award.
The finalists and the prizes were announced through a press release dated 8th June, 2023 by the organizers.
The winner will be announced in Accra, Ghana, on 6th July, 2023, and the three other finalists will be receiving £10,000 (ten thousand pounds) each.

Justice Adrian Fisher has dismissed all charges of larceny brought against Zainab Mansaray, a distributor of Dyna Lab Sierra Leone Limited, and ordered the complainant, Mohamed Saluku Koroma, to pay her a compensation of NLE 30,000(Thirty thousand New Leones) within a week.
The presiding judge further said in his judgement at the Freetown High Court No.1 on Wednesday 7th June 2023 that if the complainant fails to honour the compensation, he will be sent to jail.
