SALBOT presents books to US Peace Corps

The founder of the Sierra Leone Book Trust (SALBOT) Sallieu Turay has presented over 5,000 books to the US Embassy’s Charge d’Affaires Mitchell P. Benedict for onward transfer to schools that have Peace Corps volunteers as teachers.

 In what bears the hallmarks of establishing a police state in Kenema, the Sierra Leone police have introduced a system whereby hotels and other guest houses are mandated to record the personal data of their guests into a register with police crest on it and supplied by the police in the town.

Sierra Leone's VP Sumana Vs Musa Tarawallie again

 It has emerged, following an investigation mounted by Politico, that the visit to Moyamba two weeks ago by Vice President Samual Sam-Sumana was deliberately undermined by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Musa Tarawallie. The two have for some time now been locked in a power tussle with the minister said to be eyeing the vice president's job.
