
Human Rights Commission urges FOI Law

The sixth annual Human Right Commission of Sierra Leone report has called for the passing into law of a Freedom of Information (FOI) Law and for the Sierra Leone Police to review its rules of engagement in maintaining law and order in the country.

Head of training and recruitment in the Peace Keeping Department of the Sierra Leone Police says a team of 40 policemen on Wednesday landed in Khartoum, northern Sudan on peace mission.
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Hannah Sesay, told a presser in Freetown that the contingent was led by the head of the police internal disciplinary department, CDIID, Chief Superintendent William Fayia Sellu.
