8-year-old alleged victim of sexual abuse has told Justice Manuela Harding that accused person whom she used to refer to as Uncle Allen sexually penetrated her on 30 April this year.
Allen Cole was arraigned in the Sexual Offences Model Court in Freetown yesterday 12 October this year to answer to allegations of sexual penetration contrary to the Sexual Offences Act No.12 of 2012 as amended in 2019. Allen denied the allegations for which he is being arraigned .
The child witness said that the accused sexually penetrated her in his room where he had lured her to watch a movie. She said that she wanted to shout during the process but that the accused held her mouth with his hand.
The 8-year-old said that she left Allen’s place for home when she met her mother who noticed that her mode of walking had changed. She said that her mother enquired about who has tampered with her. She said that she told her mother that it was uncle Allen that had tampered with her.
The said child victim said in court that her mother took her to a local nurse who confirmed that she has been sexually penetrated. She said that her mother later took her to the police.
The child witness said that uncle Allen was later arrested by the police at Juba Freetown.
Justice Harding adjourned the matter for Tuesday 19th October 2021.
