The lead State Prosecutor, Ahmed J. Bockarie in an ongoing tribunal set up to investigate the suspended Auditor -General and her deputy, Lara Taylor-Pearce and Tamba Momoh over their alleged misconduct, has applied that Audit Service submit the attendance register of top management.
Bockarie made the oral application on Tuesday 21st November 2023, that the institution should submit the register spanning from 2015 to 2021.
He also applied for Audit Service Sierra Leone to produce a letter written by the then Auditor General, Taylor-Pearce addressed to the Secretary to the President dated 22nd October 2021.
According to him, the essence for the production of those documents is to aid proper investigation by the tribunal.
Roland Wright, representing the suspended Auditor -General, Taylor-Pearce, said the state should have first enquired if such attendance register exists at the institution.
In her intervention, the Chair of the three panel tribunal, Justice Nyawo Mattruri-Jones, noted that they would take judicial notice that the attendance register exists.
Another member of the panel, Justice Ivan Sesay said they would approve the application to know whether the document is available.
In his response, Bockarie told the tribunal that they believe that the document exists.
