Sierra Leone president launches Trillium

By Mustapha Sesay

President Ernest Bai Koroma says the initiative of the estate agency, Trillium Development, “will transform the country” in terms of infrastructural development.

Speaking at the Radisson Blu hotel at the formal launch of Trillium hills and white sands projects he said the launch represented an opportunity to widen the scope of competition among other institutions in the country, adding that, the company was in the country as a result of a plea made to companies to invest in the country.

The president said the agency's dreams were in line with the government's aspiration to improve the country's infrastructure, with maximum effect and transformation. He pledged his government's support to create a conducive working environment for the company.

The Trillium CEO, Mustapha Ahmad said his company would build two estate communities in Freetown with one in Goderich and the other in Tokeh. He said the two communities would cover “the dreams and aspiration of the local people”.

He said they would each consist of two bedroom bungalows with a back yard spacious enough to entertain guests.

He said the company was established across the world including in Lebanon Afghanistan and Sudan which he said was a pointer of success in their business.

Deputy tourism minister Madie Sesay said the venture would open the country’s doors to the tourism industry and make it attractive to the outside world.
