Ibrahim Sankoh
Ibrahim Sankoh is a four-year-old boy who has for weeks been sitting in a ward at the Port Loko Government Hospital. He has lost both his parents and all his siblings to Ebola. He got infected himself but recovered. He has gone blind in what doctors say is as a direct result of the viral infection.
One of Ibrahim’s eyes is said to have been lost completely and will never see again. The other can be brought back but his condition can only be operated abroad.
Free Media Group, the publishers of Politico newspaper, are mounting this campaign to save this boy’s sight as the only survivor in his family.
