Sierra Leone recorded 0.08% and 0.22% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.40%), Cape Verde (0.95%), Ivory Coast (0.30%), Gambia (0.11%), Guinea (0.70%), Liberia (1.08%), Mali (2.38%), Niger (3.74%), Nigeria (0.62%), Senegal (0.34%), Togo (1.28%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.45%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.48%), Africa (1.40%), Europe (2.92%), North America (2.33%), South America (1.11%), Asia (1.76%) and World (2.08%). Benin, Ghana and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Europe (3.06%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (0.96%), Mali (0.68%), Nigeria (0.17%), Senegal (0.30%), ECOWAS (0.18%), Africa (1.22%), North America (1.09%), South America (0.76%), Asia (1.21%) and the World (1.55%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.47%), Cape Verde (1.90%), Guinea (0.50%), Mali (1.01%), Niger (1.88%), Nigeria (0.31%), Togo (3.49%), MRU (0.27%), ECOWAS (0.34%), Africa (1.37%), Europe (5.07%), North America (1.70%), South America (0.67%), Asia (1.18%) and the World (1.79%). However, increase in recoveries in Ivory Coast (0.14%), Gambia (0.08%) and Senegal (0.19%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Liberia (0.22%) recorded the same increase in total recoveries as Sierra Leone. Benin, Ghana and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
