Sierra Leone recorded 0.73% and 0.18% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (3.36%), Cape Verde (3.36%), Guinea (1.15%), Mali (0.85%), Togo (1.57%), Africa (1.42%), Europe (3.04%), North America (1.68%), South America (1.73%), Asia (3.29%) and the World (2.37%). However increase in total cases in Benin (0.65%), Ivory Coast (0.43%), Gambia (0.39%), Ghana (0.48%), Liberia (0.30%), Niger (0.17%), Nigeria (0.69%), Senegal (0.54%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.67%) and the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.72%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Cape Verde (7.27%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (1.79%), Gambia (0.91%), Guinea (1.54%), Nigeria (0.73%), Senegal (1.64%), Togo (6.82%), MRU (0.29%), ECOWAS (0.89%), Africa (1.72%), Europe (0.65%), North America (0.77%), South America (1.45%), Asia (2.62%) and the World (1.29%). Benin, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.27%), Cape Verde (3.05%), Ivory Coast (0.72%), Gambia (6.24%), Ghana (0.50%), Guinea (1.26%), Mali (1.54%), Niger (0.27), Nigeria (0.58%), Senegal (2.70%), Togo (1.83%), MRU (0.83%), ECOWAS (0.94%), Africa (1.56%), Europe (1.41%), North America (2.76%), South America (2.23%), Asia (4.13%) and the World (2.89%). Benin, Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
