Sierra Leone recorded 0.26%, 1.37% and 0.62% increase in COVID-19 total cases, total deaths and total recoveries respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases is lower than Burkina Faso(1.12%), Cape Verde (2.05%), Ghana (0.29%), Guinea (0.31%), Liberia (0.58), Mali (0.47%), Nigeria (0.35%), Togo (1.98%), Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.40%), Africa (1.28%), Europe (6.35%), North America (1.85%), South America (1.30%), Asia (1.49%) and the World (2.41%). However, increase in total cases in Ivory Coast (0.21%), Gambia (0.05%) and Niger (0.08%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Senegal (0.26%) and Manor River Union or MRU (0.26%) recorded the same increase in total recoveries as Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Secondly, Sierra Leone’s increase in total deaths was lower compared to Cape Verde (4.44%), Guinea (1.43%), Togo (1.96%) and Europe (1.56%). However, Gambia (0.85%), Ghana (0.64%), Nigeria (0.36%), MRU (0.58%), ECOWAS (0.52%), Africa (1.09%), North America (0.88%), South America (0.92%), Asia (1.34%) and the world (1.13%) recorded lower increase in total deaths compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger and Senegal recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (9.43%), Cape Verde (2.91%), Mali (0.81%), Senegal (0.77%), Togo (1.60%), Africa (1.00%), Europe (2.45%), North America (1.71%), South America (1.22%), Asia (1.80%) and the World (1.66%). Ivory Coast (0.15%), Gambia (0.08%), Ghana (0.15%), Guinea (0.12%), Liberia (0.16%), Nigeria (0.55%), MRU (0.17%) and ECOWAS (0.56%) recorded lower increase in total recoveries compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Guinea-Bissau and Niger recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
