Sierra Leone recorded 0.69% and 0.91% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (1.35%), Burkina Faso (1.74%), Cape Verde (2.48%), Guinea (0.87%), Guinea-Bissau (0.91%), Togo (1.92%), Africa (1.00%), Europe (2.22%), North America (1.25%), South America (1.64%), Asia (2.15%) and the World (1.74%). However increase in total cases in Ivory Coast (0.53%), Gambia (0.45%), Ghana (0.20%), Liberia (0.07%), Mali (0.33%), Niger (0.34%), Nigeria (0.50%), Senegal (0.24%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.63%) and the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.52%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone.
Cape Verde (3.85%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Gambia (1.85%), Ghana (0.67%), Mali (1.56%), Nigeria (0.18%), Senegal (0.33%), ECOWAS (0.43%), Africa (1.23%), Europe (0.57%), North America (1.07%), South America (1.50%), Asia (1.68%) and the World (1.18%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (5.30%), Cape Verde (3.49%), Ivory Coast (1.32%), Gambia (0.95%), Guinea-Bissau (37.44%), Togo (1.81%), MRU (0.98%), ECOWAS (0.95%), Africa (1.10%), Europe (1.22%), North America (2.02%), South America (2.59%), Asia (2.57%) and the World (2.23%). Increase in total recoveries in Ghana (0.09%), Guinea (0.45%), Liberia (0.08%), Mali (0.21%), Niger (0.27%), Nigeria (0.64%) and Senegal (0.83%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
