Sierra Leone recorded 0.08% and 0.22% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.60%), Cape Verde (1.52%), Ivory Coast (0.26%), Ghana (0.34%), Guinea (0.24%), Liberia (1.51%), Mali (3.37%), Niger (0.68%), Nigeria (0.44%), Senegal (0.16%), Togo (1.60%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.29%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.48%), Africa (1.44%), Europe (3.46%), North America (3.09%), South America (1.14%), Asia (1.31%) and World (2.28%). However, increase in total cases was lower in Gambia (0.03%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Europe (2.91%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Mali (1.42%), Nigeria (0.17%), Senegal (0.30%), Togo (1.59%), ECOWAS (0.21%), Africa (1.40%), North America (1.47%), South America (0.72%), Asia (1.28%) and the World (1.61%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Sierra Leone and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Cape Verde (1.60%), Ghana (0.81%), Guinea (0.86%), Liberia (0.23%), Mali (0.67%), Niger (0.43%), Nigeria (0.53%), Togo (4.37%), MRU (0.40%), ECOWAS (0.61%), Africa (1.47%), Europe (4.35%), North America (1.99%), South America (0.80%), Asia (1.26%) and the World (1.76%). Increase in total recoveries was lower in Burkina Faso (0.16%), Ivory Coast (0.17%) and Senegal (0.12%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Gambia and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
