Sierra Leone recorded 0.31% and 2.37% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (4.40%), Burkina Faso (0.48%), Cape Verde (0.78%), Ivory Coast (2.67%), Gambia (0.69%), Ghana (0.84%), Guinea (3.00%), Mali (1.22%), Niger (1.86%), Nigeria (0.55%), Senegal (1.38%), Togo (2.29%), the Manor River Union or MRU (2.51%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.09%), Africa (0.69%), Europe (1.06%), North America (0.53%), South America (1.36%), Asia (0.92%) and the world (0.91%). However, percentage increase in total cases was lower in Guinea-Bissau (0.27%) and Liberia (0.05%).
Benin (8.00%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (1.32%), Ivory Coast (2.51%), Gambia (0.66%), Ghana (1.17%), Guinea (4.30%), Niger (2.91%), Nigeria (1.43%), Senegal (2.44%), Togo (4.55%), MRU (1.97%), ECOWAS (1.69%), Africa (0.82%), Europe (0.82%), North America (0.60%), South America (1.09%), Asia (0.57%) and the world (0.77%). Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was higher compared to Burkina Faso (0.80%), Cape Verde (0.84%), Ivory Coast (1.38%), Gambia (1.45%), Ghana (0.97%), Guinea (0.96%), Guinea-Bissau (0.15%), Liberia (0.42%), Mali (0.23%), Nigeria (1.08%), MRU (1.27%), ECOWAS (1.32%), Africa (0.82%), Europe (1.69%), North America (1.26%), South America (1.14%), Asia (0.87%) and the world (1.24%). Percentage increase in total recoveries was higher in Benin (8.46%), Niger (3.69%), Senegal (2.43%) and Togo (2.71%) compared to Sierra Leone.
