Sierra Leone recorded 0.69% and 0.56% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total recoveries respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (0.87%), Burkina Faso (3.91%), Cape Verde (3.76%), Ivory Coast (2.36%), Gambia (2.47%), Guinea (1.73%), Mali (1.99%), Nigeria (0.76%), Senegal (0.96%), Togo (2.47%), Manor River Union or MRU (1.98%), Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.10%), Africa (1.75%), Europe (2.16%), North America (1.62%), South America (1.90%), Asia (4.39%) and the World (2.55%). However, increases in total cases in Ghana (0.52%) and Liberia (0.38%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau and Niger recorded zero increase in total cases.
Togo (6.45%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (1.82%), Ivory Coast (2.44%), Guinea (1.64%), Mali (0.79%), Nigeria (0.95%), Senegal (0.69%), MRU (0.30%), ECOWAS (0.73%), Africa (2.17%), Europe (0.33%), North America (0.93%), South America (4.25%), Asia (3.16%) and the World (2.00%). Benin, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Benin (3.16%) Burkina Faso (1.28%), Cape Verde (6.40%), Ivory Coast (2.55%), Gambia (1.54%), Guinea (1.40%), Liberia (2.32%), Mali (1.17%), Nigeria (0.97%), Senegal (3.23%), Togo (3.24%), MRU (2.08%), ECOWAS (1.38%), Africa (2.32%), Europe (1.63%), North America (3.24%), South America (3.07%), Asia (5.07%) and the World (3.55%). Increase in total recoveries in Ghana (0.47%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau and Niger recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
