Sierra Leone recorded 0.15%, 1.43% and 0.38% increase in COVID-19 total cases, total deaths and total recoveries respectively in 24 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases is lower than Benin (2.28%), Cape Verde (4.22%), Ivory Coast (0.52%), Gambia (3.51%), Ghana (0.81%), Guinea (0.74%), Mali (0.94%), Nigeria (0.84%), Senegal (0.97%), Togo (2.43%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.55%), Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.93%), Africa (1.26%), Europe (1.84%), North America (1.36%), South America (2.40%), Asia (2.95%) and the World (2.12%). However, increase in total cases in Liberia (0.08%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Burkina Faso (0.15%) recorded the same increase in total cases as Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau and Niger recorded zero increase in total cases.
Secondly, Sierra Leone’s increase in total deaths was lower compared to Cape Verde (2.50%), Togo (7.14%), Africa (1.70%), South America (2.07%), Asia (2.26%) and the world (1.48%). However, Gambia (1.04%), Nigeria (1.38%), Senegal (1.06%), MRU (0.30%), ECOWAS (0.92%) and Europe (0.40%) recorded lower increase in total deaths compared to Sierra Leone. North America (1.43%) recorded the same increase in total deaths as Sierra Leone. Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali and Niger recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.61%), Cape Verde (18.66%), Ivory Coast (1.40%), Ghana (1.20%), Guinea (0.95%), Liberia (33.26%), Mali (0.74%), Nigeria (1.92%), Senegal (0.71%), Togo (4.98%), MRU (2.21%), ECOWAS (1.96%), Africa (2.40%), Europe (1.25%), North America (2.51%), South America (3.56%), Asia (3.04%) and the World (2.81%). Benin, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Niger recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
