Sierra Leone recorded 0.47% and 0.33% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Cape Verde (1.71%), Ivory Coast (0.69%), Ghana (9.59%), Guinea (2.14%), Liberia (0.49%), Nigeria (0.51%), Togo (3.31%), Manor River Union or MRU (1.14%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.68%), Africa (1.51%), Europe (6.83%), North America (2.05%), South America (1.16%), Asia (1.41%) and World (2.62%). Increases in total cases in Burkina Faso (0.45%), Gambia (0.11%), Mali (0.42%), Niger (0.16%) and Senegal (0.15%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Europe (2.32%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (1.06%), Ghana (1.27%), Guinea (1.41%), Nigeria (0.44%), Senegal (0.31%), Togo (1.85%), MRU (0.28%), ECOWAS (0.47%), Africa (1.33%), North America (0.93%), South America (0.86%), Asia (1.25%) and the World (1.29%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.70%), Cape Verde (2.75%), Ivory Coast (0.53%), Gambia (7.88%), Ghana (0.42%), Guinea (0.43%), Mali (2.96%), Niger (0.44%), Nigeria (0.58%), Senegal (1.15%), Togo (1.23%), MRU (0.47%), ECOWAS (0.81%), Africa (1.29%), Europe (3.54%), North America (1.56%), South America (1.06%), Asia (1.58%) and the World (1.65%). Increase in total recoveries in Liberia (0.08%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
