The southern regional executive of the Bike Riders’ Union (BRU) has given on loan ten Victor motorbikes to the executive of BRU in Pujehun district. The regional chairman, Femi Rashid told Politico that this was as a result of the district union’s contribution to the regional body.

Although he refused to disclose the amount contributed, he was “proud of the good working relationship with the district union”. He furthered that the total cost of the ten bikes including registration amounted to Le 52 million.

Rashid said that payment for the bikes should be made to the district chairman on a weekly basis.

The police Local Unit Commander Superintendent Brewa Nathanel cautioned the riders to observe traffic rules especially over-speeding within the township and overloading. He called for a good working relationship between the police and the bike riders.

The district chairman of BRU, Mohamed Sannoh commended the regional executive, adding that complete payment for the bikes would be made and on time. He encouraged those who were not fortunate to get the bikes to still continue working amicably with them.
