Please, clean me up!
O yes centuries of suffocation,
Love is still struggling to return to me;
Integrity, largely thrown into exile:
Trust, like love, cannot fully return.
Incitement has replaced insight all over;
Collaboration is what I yearn for,
Service being my primary mandate
Peace is my desire for you all.
Overlook self and see all as one;
Life, a gift to be share with others.
Individuals in healthy harmony make a family,
Transforming their passion into patriotism;
Inclusion, a costly but necessary risk,
Cultivates a platform for national cohesion,
Sealing a solid bond of oneness and unity,
Pulpits must pursue the fear of God,
Orators must know words are double -edge swords;
Leader must navigate the diversity of people’s emotions,
Institutions must solely be in the interest of nations.
Teachers must be models reflecting virtues and values,
Icons, not idols, are a dire need among races;
Constitutions prescribe guidelines for all,
Statesmen uphold them even at personal peril.
Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings and Queens,
Ordinary mortals you essentially ARE;
Lifted by God’s grace to fulfill his will,
Inculcate humility with faith in God alone.
The gods of the earth always die like men,
In an out of office therefore, pursue His will;
Convey all your doubts into His omniscience,
Solomon pursued wisdom, wealth could not avoid him.
Prosperity genuinely sought for the people,
Overtakes and embraces politicians.
Let your motivation truly be, TO SERVE;
Insight and enablement God will release on loan.
Transparency the parent of stability,
Induces acceptance, appreciation and admiration,
Compliance with the golden rule nurtures respect,
Sincerity of purpose, brings the blessing of honour,
Pointing fingers at others,
Only says, there’s much work to do on yourself!
Leading the Press into free expression,
Indicates readiness for collaboration through correction.
Taking diverse views into consideration,
Invites progress in decision making;
Call on the minds of citizens across board,
Season your service with the nations’ passion
