The Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone (USL) has on Thursday, 25th May 2023 commenced the first live online lectures through one of the e-Learning Studios at the IPAM Tower Hill Campus.

University of Sierra Leone Brima Bah is set to roll out four Master's programmes, three from the Faculty of Communication, Media and Information Studies at FBC and the Masters of Business Administration programme at IPAM in the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
It added that the university is working to strengthen its online presence and becoming a leader in reaching out to address the exponential increase in Sierra Leoneans qualifying and desiring higher education, through the use of the e-Learning platform.
The report stated that mainstreaming the use of Information and Communication Technology and introducing new courses and expanding the reach of the University to cater for the increasing number of Sierra Leoneans qualifying and desiring higher education have been the focus of the Vice Chancellor & Principal Professor, Foday Sahr.
He noted that after several infrastructural assessments and engagements with the country’s Tertiary Education Commission, the regulatory body, approval was given for IPAM to run degree-extended programmes in Bo and Makeni, the two campuses fully equipped with the requisite technology.
He also acknowledged the strides made by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of IPAM, Prof. Miriam Conteh-Morgan, to ensure the success of the online programme at the university.
In 2021, the university established an e-Learning Centre which is responsible for the coordination and delivery of exclusive online courses, starting with postgraduate programmes.
