Top Sierra Leone Premier League club Bo Rangers are threatening to institute action against Abu Komeh, formerly of FC Kallon “before the relevant judicial bodies in the event the player continues to be recalcitrant”by not honoring his contract with them.
According to a letter signed by Babadi Kamara the club’s Executive chairman and addressed to the General Secretary of the Sierra Leone Football Association the “services of Abu Komeh had been sorted out by Bo Rangers from FC Kallon with all terms and conditions of the transfer met. When the said player was contacted to report for training, he has refused and/ or neglected to do so even though all resettlement arrangements had been made.”
In an interview on the sports program on Radio Mount Aureol on Tuesday 2nd February, Komeh said he really wanted to play for Bo Rangers but he changed his mind “because I want to pursue and complete my course at the university.” Politico understands that Bo Rangers paid Le 75, 000, 000 for the services of Komeh, a second year student at the Institute of Public Administration and Management in the University of Sierra Leone.
Football experts say the matter could now be considered by the Players’ Status Committee and that Komeh could be asked to report to his parent club (Bo Rangers) or face a ban from playing for any other club.
Bo Rangers has recently emerged as a dominant force in Sierra Leone Football by blending high profiled players with young local talent.
