Owners of Beach Bars have expressed excitement over the upcoming festive season where they say they usually get large sales, and are well prepared for the season as it approaches.
Manager at the J.J Sport at Lumley Beach Road, Juliana Joseph told Politico that though the festive season is around the corner, business has not been lucrative as expected. She said sales are low, compared to the previous seasons.
She noted that as a business person one should always expect to encounter some losses, and hoped that this festive year will be different as they have set aside various surprises for their customers. She said they have several entertainment ideas in place already.
Taal Alpha of Mamz Beach Bar and Restaurant said as their business is already well established and known, and their goal now is to provide the best services to their customers to meet their needs. He boasted that even though there are other competitive bars, they are second to none.
However he admitted that street boys who always hang around their bar to beg and harass their customers for money is not a pleasing scenario.
Sahr Victor Gbattih, a salesman at the Nanish Beach Bar and Restaurant at the Lumley beach road said that, they are preparing for the festive season in every respect by renovating their structure and purchasing different foreign drinks for tourists and other customers.
He gave a flashback of how a tourist came to their bar and requested for one of those foreign drinks, noting that, if they didn’t have those drinks in their bar, they wouldn’t have made large sales that day. He further said that, they are well prepared to secure all foreign drinks before the festive season commences.
Gbattih also noted that, it is very competitive to share the same business space with already established and known bars and restaurants, even when their drinks and food prices are affordable for every sector of people.
